Cassandra Orford

Apart from having a Master Brewer as her uncle, you could almost say it's in the DNA, Cassandra is proof that even the most committed wine drinker can be converted when presented with the right beer. In May 2013, she tasted an Imperial Russian Stout and was so smitten that she vowed to eschew wine and is now exclusively a beer drinker. All this research helped in her quest to be an accredited Beer Academy Sommelier which she achieved a year and a month after that first sip of the black stuff. Cassandra works as the events manager of a leading British brewer and hosts beer tasting events for company staff and international business groups visiting London. Since her conversion she has brewed several beers with professional brewers big and small and is on a mission to convert more wine drinkers to the love of malts and hops!
