Garrett Oliver

Garrett Oliver is the brewmaster of The Brooklyn Brewery, the author of "The Brewmaster's Table: Discovering the Pleasures of Real Beer with Real Food", and the Editor-in-Chief of "The Oxford Companion to Beer". Garrett has been brewing since 1989, when he apprenticed to a Yorkshire brewer in New York City. Since then he has hosted more than 900 beer dinners in 15 countries and is widely acknowledged as one of the world's foremost authorities on beer and on beer and food pairing. Garrett was a founding board member of Slow Food USA and has judged the Great American Beer Festival 21 times and the Great British Beer Festival 7 times, twice sitting the final panel choosing Champion Beer of Britain.
