Mark Cade

Working in pubs and clubs as a student has sparked off Mark's lifelong interest in beer. A passionate home brewer since 2000 and an active member of three local home brewing clubs. Mark is a member of the Norfolk & Norwich CAMRA branch Tasting Panel and a judge for the annual Bottled Beer of Norfolk Competition as well as assessing the quality of local beer generally. Working with a number of Norfolk breweries in recent years Mark has helped to create award winning ales in the process.
Mark's Beer Academy Sommelier accreditation will enable him along with his wife Cheryl (a fellow Beer Sommelier) to fulfil the ambitions of their newly formed company The Thirst Consultants Ltd.
This business offers beer tastings and beer & food matching events in addition to working with breweries promoting their products & events. Their aim is also to work with licensed premises to explore and expand the availability of quality beers and highlight their potential as an accompaniment with food. Guided trips to continental Europe are also organised with the opportunity to explore local brewing heritage and culture.
