Rodrigo (Rod), arrived to London from Spain on a cold winter in 2013 having very little to none knowledge about beer. After working as a barback and bartender, found his way up to Supervisory and Managerial positions and developed the curiosity and the knowledge of beer. Rod worked in some busy centric pubs in London Brigde, Borough and Tower Bridge, and ended his trip in London by helping opening the Gipsy Hill Brewing Company taproom in Crystal Palace, with 20 taps, 100 bottles and the most advanced cellar system in the UK until then (with individual temperature control lines). Talking about beer and helping to promote craft beer to the average beer drinker is one of the things he enjoys the most and has given several Beer Masterclasses, Breweries/styles showcases, Food & Beer pairing sessions, etc... He’s also a homebrewer who’s curious about new styles and pushing the boundaries of common styles or twists. He’s also completed the first Level of the Cicerone certification program and moved to Oslo, Norway in the search of new adventures and challenges
