Ricardas Barakunas

You can easily say that Ričardas have been interested in beer since his legal drinking age. However, the professional journey to beer world started when Ričardas, was studying Food Science in one of local universities. In his second year of his master studies he went on an exchange program to Belgium. He remembers: "The wide range of beer types and tastes cast a spell on me and I knew what I'm going to do when I return to homeland". 

Next thing you know - Ričardas joined one of most modern brewery in Lithuania -"Kalnapilis".

He joined the brewery in 2000. Starting as a trainee in brewing department, Ričardas became Head Brew Master just after two years. Ričardas with the help of his team is releasing 4 to 5 new beers every year. In 2001-2002 Ričardas also studied in Scandinavian Brewing School in Denmark and now works as a lecturer there.
